Yes I have a website, took a while!

February 27, 2012

Yes, after an early botched attempt at a website I have given things a go myself. I should probably stick to snowboard building but I need to be on the air. My Facebook site www. will remain my main site for now but this website will develop into my main online communication as time goes on. Splitn2 has been a project many years in the making, I first looked at building snowboards in 2006 but shelved it after talking my self into believing I would not be able to do it. Well I am happy to say that in 2010/11, after a bloody big shakeup by way of a massive earthquake that tore my city Christchurch apart, I was resolved to having a crack at. My first pair of ski's built for good friend and mad inventor and mountain man Erik Bradshaw went into the hills 24 hours after coming out of the ski press. The skis clocked up 600 odd km's from Otira to Milford down the main divide of New Zealand's South Island, no mean feat for any skis let alone my first pair. From there I built some prototype splitboards that were put to the test in NZ good old back country for 5 days in the Garden of Eden by a couple of very tough young men, Ruari Macfarlane and Colin Boyd.
